The Dreaming Weed by Mylares The Dreaming Weed by Mylares
There once was small plant who reached for the sky

Every day he grew and grew among the grasses of the field

One day, when he was tall enough to see over his brothers and sisters

He noticed something grand

A tall tree, an oak, who reached far into the sky

He seemed to reach the clouds, kiss the stars, touch the sun

The small plant yearned to grow taller, to get as big as the beautiful oak

Many laughed at him, sadly, telling him he was nothing more than a pest, a weed

That however, did not stop him from dreaming

And to this day, every year when autumn comes

He grows again to admire the beautiful oak

Never to stop wishing, hoping that one day, he'll reach the heavens

To sleep with the clouds, to play among the stars, to caress the sun

God has blessed you with an imagination, the words with which to describe what's in there, and the foresight to know how to bring it to life~!

Here it is! :D

The Oak and the Rose by Shel Silverstein

An oak tree and a rosebush grew,
Young and green together,
Talking the talk of growing things –
Wind and water and weather.
And while the rosebush sweetly bloomed
The oak tree grew so high
That now it spoke of newer things –
Eagles, mountain peaks and sky.
“I guess you think you’re pretty great,”
The rose was heard to cry,
Screaming as loud as it possibly could
To the treetop in the sky.
“And you have no time for flower talk,
Now that you’ve grown so tall.”
“It’s not so much that I’ve grown,” said the tree,
“It’s just that you’ve stayed so small.”

First, thank you!

Second, aww, I feel bad for the little rosebush. I feel like I need to get a pot and a ladder and prop her up with her friend.
