I am the hungry mouth

I am the slow deterioration in both body and soul

For me personally, one of my most moving captures. There are so many things in this shot that I didn't even notice till after I sat down and looked at it. I mean, really looked. I think one of the major problems is that we see problems, we acknowleged them, but we never do anything about it. Again, have our hearts become so hard? The politicians argue over it. Far left and far right (political parties within my country) argue over it, but do they ever do anything about it? We glance at the beggar and cast down our eyes and with the next step we are back to our lives. I will be the first to say I am very, very guilty of this. I'm not saying you have to go out and give every penny of your money to charity. If you want to do that, that's great. But you know, sometimes those in their darkest hour, all they need is an ear to listen and a shoulder to lean on. They need someone, anyone, to actually care. I want everyone to quit arguing like a bunch of dimwits about "your opinion" when it comes to issues like this. This isn't about you, it's about others. Your opinion doesn't feed a hungry mouth. However your hand does. Your mind and body lent to one person in need may not save lives, but it will inevitably affect at least one. And that my friends, tracends political views, race, religion, etc. So quit talking, reach out your hand and help.
The man sitting here was sitting quietly, somewhat drifting, his head nodding, but his hands shaking in effort of holding up his old newspaper. I was walking when I took this shot so it was a bit blurry. I was nervous about posting something blurry, but in the end it gave me inspiration for the title. It actually played perfectly into my message.
